Chapter 6 “God’s Word-Your Primary Weapon” 2026

This week's chapter from Patrick:

Why should I listen to this chapter?

CHAPTER 6: ACCEPT GOD’S WORD as YOUR PRIMARY WEAPON 2026

How do you do that? I could tell you to look into the bible, who knows how to do that? Throw the book on the table and ask a question, then open it? Remember those eight ball toys in the past, geez those things were possessed, right? You ask the thing a question and it shows you an answer through a little window. “Will I succeed?” “Not likely.” Yea, those things were not something you wanted to consult. You young people should look that thing up, looks like a large billiard ball with a glass window in it. Ask it a question and the answer pops up in the window, never says the right thing, well, once in awhile it’ll say something you like. That’s why you keep asking the damn thing questions. Probably comes complete with demon power source, never wears out. I digress. Let’s get back to biblical questions regarding the Truth of the entire span of the Earth’s existence or just a problem any of us might be having right now.

I could tell you, search google for a biblical answer, “having problems taking direction from people who I should listen to please — find scripture.” “Can’t pay my taxes, so I’m hiding from the IRS, please — find scripture.” “Need money, can’t pay my bills,” “Don’t want to sell my house, can’t afford it, going to refinance instead, find scripture.” Does it work? Yes! Finally a good reason to use google.

As I wrote this Chapter I thought to actually ask a few questions and give you the examples, then I thought, maybe you should try it yourself. You should really learn how to use scripture as your primary weapon against stupid, chaos, lies, your own challenges, the world’s harsh realities and so on and so forth.

The point is, I got problems, you got problems, first thing we do is ask God, right? Yea, no we don’t. Okay, if we forget to pray, do we go to the book? Yea, no we don’t do that either. What really happens is we go everywhere else, first and second and maybe never get to the book or prayer, maybe prayer in the “Emergency, Help Me!” Right? If we could go there first, just think what might happen? I ask Google, this is what I got.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Same scripture I found myself just by reading the book. What would the world be like if a man went to the office and the boss said, “geez we’re up to our eyeballs in this one, gang, let’s consult the Word, Robert call the pastor, see if he’ll come over here, let’s get some Godly advice.” Be a different planet wouldn’t it?

Well, that can happen in your office. Think about it. The world is choosing less God everyday and more “not God.” What would I find in the bible about such matters? How do I survive this godless world? I asked Google and it again gave me the same scriptures that I had.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Business failings, disagreements, unpopular decisions, challenges, court orders, family resistance, fear, greed, terror, arrogance, all of it, everyday, all day. The apostles, like you, were given eyes to see, so use them. Before the resurrection of Christ, not many people had such a gift, the apostles did, they had the vision through the eyes of Christ, and now after the resurrection, so do you, the Holy Spirit is in you.

Mark 4:11 And He was saying to them, “To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God

1 Corinthians 2:14-15 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him;
nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

James 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

The Word is your weapon against all manner of trouble. We don’t actually see spiritual warfare in it’s full color, rather we see the results of it in despair and crushing persecution across the planet and in your own head. Jesus gave the instructions on how to handle these challenging, political times.

Matthew 24:6-8 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

The bible speaks clearly. Invading armies, Russia, Turkey from the north, Sudan/Libya (possibly including Algeria and Tunisia) from the south and west, and Iran from the east, an enormous military force will surround Israel, far beyond their capacity to defeat. In the end the bible says God alone delivers them from annihilation, which Ezekiel reveals (38:17–23; 39:1–6).

That’s taking shape in the world. Every single day, the news moves more towards biblical prophesy. Right is wrong and wrong is right. (Isaiah 5:20.)

What will happen to you and me as the world surely marches on into corrupt, chaos and annihilation? Ask the bible?

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.  Therefore encourage one another with these words.

The bible means nothing to a non-believer, so if that scripture is nonsense to you, pray that your eyes are given sight. Corinthians 2:14, states that spiritual truths are not understood by those who do not have God’s Spirit. Without God’s Word, I ask you, who can survive, who will be happy? Without God’s understanding and prophecy, globally, the human race becomes disoriented, irritable, discontent, out right scared of what’s going to happen and what’s happening. Day by day precious contentment simply doesn’t exist. Fear and complacency has replaced God. You have the answer.., it is right there on the table, inside the pages of the old and the new testament.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [a]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Scripture has changed my outlook on life and will do the same for you. That’s why He gave it to you. Stop listening to nonsense about the “edited bible” and the “new order” and the “updated scriptures,” “self help new age Jesus.” Stop listening to alternate beliefs. Can I tell you to do that?
Well, I can tell you that’s what I did. And the moment I started doing that, the world, et all, became clearer. The chatter all around me quieted down. The mission, the path, my responsibilities, all of it, day by day, lined up. In a world gone mad, I understood and my fears were on real things, not imagined. Truth stopped being fiction.

Lee Strobel, a former investigative reporter, in his book, he writes, and I quote: “To be honest, I didn’t want to believe that Christianity could radically transform someone’s character and values. It was much easier to raise doubts and manufacture outrageous objections than to consider the possibility that God actually could trigger a revolutionary turn-around in such a depraved and degenerate life.”

A quote from Charles Dickens

“I commit my soul to the mercy of God, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I now most solemnly impress upon you the truth and beauty of the Christian religion as it came from Christ Himself, and the impossibility of going far wrong if you humbly but heartily respect it.” — Charles Dickens, British writer, 1812-1870

Calvin Coolidge

“The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country.” — Calvin Coolidge, 30th President of the United States.

A quote from Jesus Christ

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” Jesus Christ, author and finisher. John 14:12

“There is no used to be, should be, could be, might be, wanna be. There is only the way it actually “is.” The Truth, not your truth, or Bob’s truth, the actual Truth. God’s Truth.

Ecclesiastes 7:15-18 Do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise—  why destroy yourself?

2 Samuel 23:1-4 And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

Chapter 6 Gods Word as your Primary Weapon Against Chaos 2026. The bible is inspired by God and the Holy Spirit resides with you.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body [a]and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Don’t believe me, ask Google? Request scripture, not opinions. Or for a real show stopper, you could actually pick up the book and start reading it. Choose any page, it doesn’t matter, just begin. Find a commentary for clarity or just ask God. Whatever the case, begin. Fight the fight with the tools that matter. “God, please help me protect my family, my business and the very life that you have breathed into me.” Now that is something to think about. Or is it something to actually “do.

Amen.

"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
