CHAPTER 20: CONVERGENCE 2025
I say everything is everything and in the case of Chapter 20, everything is critical. Convergence, as it is described here, is when the world forces itself, all at once, into family, politics, belief systems and business. We’re seeing it more and more and more. A good example of this is war. When war ravages an area, all things collide, family, business, belief system and politics. Lives are immeasurably affected. In our own personal lives right now, technology slams these layers together via social media. Heresy is winning the battle in social media, and biblical values, family values, sadly are blowing apart. Society is truly cracking under the pressure of Convergence. Many things cause convergence, at its core, is change. Change for the better and the worse. The world seldom gets better, it does however, slowly and quickly get worse. Change comes in convergence in what is good vs evil. What is right and what is wrong. Core values are threatened and good is attacked and the fight is most assuredly tragic. Convergence is the world at war with itself. In today, our markets, supply chains are threatened by war, politics, and social unrest, all of it, smashing against families and the required peace needed to raise children in core values of God and what is right. To stand against Convergence, to side with what is right, has become challenging, difficult, and many would say impossible. Standing against evil has become person against person, rather than country against country. America is at odds with an overwhelming threat and a powerful surge of wrong, costing people, children, families, cities and states, many paying with their lives.
It used to be that convergence happened only every twenty years or so in the world. In our lifetimes we remember, the riots in the sixties, Vietnam war, Now it is happening all the time, everyday, life, it would seem, hurtling towards the end of time. All elements of convergence slamming into one another, not only in the world, but in my world, my immediate world. In the last three decades, numerous political riots have erupted across the globe, driven by issues such as government corruption, human rights abuses, economic hardship, and demands for greater democracy. Mass protests have increased significantly in frequency and scope worldwide, with the frequency of large-scale protests more than doubling between 2010 and 2020 compared to the previous two decades. Jesus and the New Testament epistles speak of “wars and rumors of wars,” “disturbances [civil unrest, revolts, uprisings],” and a growth in wickedness as characteristic of the “last days” leading up to his return. This biblical view sees turmoil not as a reason for panic, but as an expected part of history.
Chaos with God, chaos without God. Without God is the problem presently.
Isaiah 56:9-12 All you beasts of the field, come to devour, All you beasts in the forest. His watchmen are blind, They are all ignorant; They are all dumb dogs, They cannot bark; Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yes, they are greedy dogs Which never have enough. And they are shepherds Who cannot understand; They all look to their own way, Every one for his own gain, From his own territory. ” Come,” one says, “I will bring wine, And we will fill ourselves with intoxicating drink; Tomorrow will be as today, And much more abundant.”
It is as if nobody thinks there are consequences for all the insane babbling in all areas of life. Families are blowing apart, businesses ravaged by snakes, new age church void of the gospel elevated to greatness, politics all but corroded into oblivion, government in ruins. The Bible describes the family unit as a divine creation meant for unity and to carry out God’s will. Key principles include honoring parents, nurturing children in the Lord, a permanent bond between one man and one woman through marriage, and the importance of forgiveness and kindness within the family.
Well, the world is pretty much not in support of that anymore. The Bible states that God is the ultimate source of all authority, and therefore, human governing authorities are established by God to maintain order, punish wrongdoers, and praise good behavior. Not happening anymore, the world has cities and states in ruin or riots, terror instead of prayer.
The Bible describes the church as a community of “called-out ones” (ekklesia) rather than a physical building, identifying it as the Body of Christ, God’s temple, the Bride of Christ, and a holy People of God. Hard to do when families and children are literally under fire. The Bible portrays the end times as a period of family division and strife, with Matthew and Luke describing children rising against parents and fathers turning against their children due to their faith. In Convergence, as I will explain, all of life suddenly is converging, family, business, religion, politics and then you decide, in all of it, where you stand. With the true authentic Jesus or not? Definitely hard, some would say impossible. Jesus knew, he knew these times would happen, both in the world, and in your life.
Matthew 10:34-36 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn“‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— 36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[a]
Two kinds of convergence. In the world and in your life. Things you can do something about, things you can’t. You can’t fix China, Russia, or any other country’s decision to make war against another. You can barely vote strong enough to help support your own country and community. You can’t fix Chicago, California, college campuses or the riot down the street in Seattle. Our police barely stand against terrorists inside our own state. Politics converge over religion, internet smashes personal boundaries, world trashes small businesses, evil pursues children, divides families. Church has lost the way. Convergence is destructive in this day and age, in every day and age it brings the strife of good vs evil. What happens to me personally? Now that is the essence of Chapter 20.
Convergence attacks the world, but what about me? When I asked this question so long ago, the world was at war for sure, but there seemed to be a much clearer picture for the hero to be a good guy with biblical values, not so much today. That was then, not now. Today, the good guy in movies is not a good guy, Hollywood and government struggle against anarchy and convergence bonds together a whole lot of bad against a dwindling amount of good. If you be for Jesus, you will be judged by the world, your own family, politicians, business associates and even within your own church. Oh yes, the church as well.
Matthew 24:6-7 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, [b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
When these four categories merge what type of example will I be in business, life choices, politics, will I even vote for fear of being found out? I must choose.
Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that[a] they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Or one has the free will to stand with the world and all of the evil it represents in the name of freedom. The super sham of every lifetime. Evil representing itself as good. The big lie. More and more we see the degradation of all things that stood for God, goodness, righteousness, honor. Today, deceit, anger, rage and horrible things prevail as the righteous path. I assure you without scripture and without having seen this in my youth, I would not have the concept or the scripture to bring me clarity for these terrible things I see.
Isaiah 5:19-21 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!
There is nothing in between God and the World except me and I must take that very seriously as do you.
Joshua 24:15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
What examples of historic convergence in the world? Well, I have a few examples in the cause of good and evil at the same time, i.e. convergence. It is the battle ground for the ancient fight.
- 1 AD – 33 AD Jesus Christ was born. The world becomes polarized. Jesus vs everything else. Convergence.
- World War 1 and 2 1939-1942, good vs Evil, same thing. Convergence.
- INDEPENDENCE OF ISRAEL: May 14, 1948, the independent state of Israel was proclaimed. The armies of Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria invaded almost immediately after the May 14 declaration. Evil vs everything and everybody.
- Donald Trump was inaugurated for his 47th presidency on January 20, 2025. He officially assumed office at noon on that day, following his victory in the 2024 presidential election. The right versus the left, evil versus good, chaos vs everything, American core values threatened, America polarized.
What will any of us do? Will you cave, laugh it off, or stand firm? In the end, I promise, scripture is clear and in my youth, I shuddered to think as I wrote these words, “can I hold the line?” The answer, “only in God.” Now listen to this core value of a Believer.
Psalm 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers,And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and [b]buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall [c]bear you up, Lest you [d]dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will [e]set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With [f]long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
That is where I must struggle to remain when the attack of convergence begins. And as I’ve said, no longer does convergence happen every 20 years or so, no, it is now everyday, and relentless. People, nations are exhausted, the fight is ferocious, all areas, fighting good vs evil. Who will you serve, in these moments? The devil or the Lord?
Matthew 12:30 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
It’s not enough to believe in God. Demons believe in God. Demons don’t own your company, or your life, you do, with God, a partner with the Almighty. A demon owns nothing and will inherit eternal damnation. I, you have freedom to pick the hard road, the narrow road…
John 10:28-30 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”
Convergence? Can you affect the world? What is at stake? Truth is at stake and evil is fighting to imitate and deceive it.
1 Timothy 4:1 NIV The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
This is your time, whether it be personnel or on the world stage. How will your children remember you, represent you? The world has fallen into the deception, happily, gleefully, pompous and arrogant. Convergence, family, belief, business, politics, it’s all in the hands of enemy territory, save for the elect sent to hold the line, who are few, and yet by the power of God, strengthened, as our country, our world crumbles.
Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth [a]will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Will any of us survive ego, pride, arrogance, supremacy of sorts, or just stupid and all of the above. Will we survive our faith in the onslaught of Convergence. It is a tough, sarcastic, nasty battle cry.
Mark 7:21-23 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, (22) thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. (23) All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
In this day, as in the past, those who stand with God, do, and those who do not, do not. As always, with the God given gift of free will, choose wisely. Converge chapter 20, 2025. Will Convergence visit today? Yes, of course, as stated, it is already here, my friends. Stand up and be counted in prayer as a soldier of Christ.
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Amen
