Chapter 33 “The Blessing of Creativity” 2026

This week's chapter from Patrick:

Why should I listen to this chapter?

CHAPTER 33: THE BLESSING OF CREATIVITY 2026

This is not about creativity itself. It is about the blessing. They are two different things. One is God’s decision to give a blessing, the other is the actual gift creativity to use. This is not about the creativity, necessarily, this is about God’s decision to give you/me His blessing.

KJ21 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed and enlarge my borders, and that Thine hand might be with me and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!” And God granted him that which he requested.

God granted the request, yes, but first God had to decide to give His blessing. Jabez said the request and added to it, “..that Thine hand might be with me and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil..” All of us forget that part. Jabez did not. God decided to give Jabez His blessing which in turn gave Jabez the information, the imagination and the creativity to do.

The key? Jabez requested more to serve only God, only if God see fit to do so. Key concept. Again, this is not about what Jabez asked for, it is about God’s decision to give His blessing. Why did He do that? Well, that’s a good question isn’t it? Why does He decide to give any of us anything when we are all worthless sinners? I don’t know the answer to that but scripture says because He loves us, so I thankfully am happy about that. Now, back to the point. God’s decision to bless a person. Let’s look at another example. Written by, Agur, the son of Jakeh. Mentioned only once in the bible.

Proverbs 30:7-9 Two things I request of You
(Deprive me not before I die):  Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me; Lest I be full and deny You, And say, “Who is the Lord?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God.

Here we get close to creativity. “Give me neither poverty nor riches.” A man has to think to do that, doesn’t he? Again, not the request, but the decision of God to give His blessing in turn causing the knowledge to “do.” Both of these men, acknowledge that complete servitude to God is required. The man is asking God to prefer, if you will, His option to bless the man, which means God decides to give the knowledge to complete the request. God decides, get it, God decides, that’s what this is about. I noticed that it was about God deciding, the actual creativity itself is the gift He decided to give. I hope I’m making my point. God had to create a blessing first, in the mind of God, create a blessing called creativity designed just for a person. Yes, now what we do with it, of course, I have given that a lot of thought. Why? Because we use it to fight God it would seem. I needed something to describe sense into me and I found this statement.

Somewhere around 1916, the Reverend Harry Bultema, a very controversial pastor, and the author of the book, Maranatha, a pre-millenium look at the Church of Christ said, and I quote, “It is foolish to oppose our Creator because since He made us, He can break us. It is foolish to oppose our Creator because since He made us, He knows what is best for us. It is foolish to oppose our Creator because we owe the greatest obligation to Him.”

Isaiah 45: 9 “Woe to him who strives with his Maker!

Think about that. What is the blessing of creativity? God’s favor is the blessing of creativity. He alone, decides to give powerful knowledge. If He decides to bless, then surely, He has a plan. That is the focus of the lesson. That is the focus of the Chapter. The blessing is powerful, used by the Holy Spirit, to bring “extraordinary” to the life of a single person. Notice I said, “used by the Holy Spirit.” Used by God, “you” used by God. Wow! What could He have in mind for me? It occurs to me that if I am in obedience, I am walking with the Master in His plan. To make my point, let me quote from the book, “The Art of War” by Sun Tau.

“Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win…”

The confidence obedience brings, accepting a blessing in honor of the King and then requesting obedience moving forward. If you have trouble believing that God will guide you, you will have trouble believing in the Divine. With a Divine gift, and no faith in the Divine, what good could a person accomplish? What are gifts slash blessings besides creativity? I asked myself just that question. God promises “believers” salvation, eternal life, provision, guidance, forgiveness, strength, comfort, peace, and His constant presence, a hopeful future, help in trials, ultimate restoration, with key themes of His faithfulness and love enduring for all generations.

Ephesians 1:3: God has blessed believers “in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places”.

How could I achieve these without obedience and a strict guideline of following Christ? Are there parameters for blessings? Yes. Here are the core rules:

Faith & Belief: Believing God is able and faithful to fulfill His promises, even when circumstances seem impossible. (Romans 4:19-21).

Obedience: Walking in righteousness and following God’s commands. (Proverbs 28:20, Matthew 6:33)

Patience: Waiting for God’s timing, as fulfillment isn’t always immediate. (Hebrews 10:36)

Seeking God: Prioritizing God’s kingdom and righteousness. (Matthew 6:33)

2 Corinthians 8:11  But now complete the doing also; that as there was the readiness to will, so there may be the completion also out of your ability.

I realized a very long time ago, that creativity required me to understand God’s purpose, allowing Him to show me how to put it all together, using all of the promises in a coordinated purpose. The driver of it all so to speak and then I got it. Creativity! The single most powerful tool to collectively bring God’s promises to His plan. I had to get my head around the fact that God decided to give me the ability to create a tactical thought, placing all things given by God in a particular order that serves the purpose of God.

Proverbs 2:6-8 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who
walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints.

“But I must be willing for it is true that the unwilling create much trouble…”

A quote by Marcus Aurelius, Roman emperor 161-180 AD
:
“If someone can prove me wrong and show me my mistake in any thought or action, I shall gladly change. I seek the truth, which never harmed anyone: the harm is to persist in one’s own self-deception and ignorance.”

Leo Buscaglia, an American author born in the 20’s said this:
“Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.”

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Powerful words. Creativity, it is the divine appointment, after the actual thought of God to give, and give powerfully, knowledge and the wisdom that you could not know in a thousand lifetimes.

Genesis 1:1: The Bible begins by stating, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth,”
(establishing God as the original creative force.)

Creativity, designed in the mind of God just for you and then given to you. Wow. Realizing that, and finding this gift many choose to steal it and run away from God, using this incredible tool for debauchery, sin and distortion of truth. Tragic choices.

Proverbs 28:8, “One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion Gathers it for him who will pity the poor.”

What that scripture says took me awhile to figure it out. It means that “ill gotten gains” will be taken from those who perpetrated such crimes and given to those who fear God and pity the poor. Long story short, the Blessing incorrectly used, the yield will be forfeited and given to someone worthy.

Creativity, dangerous without scripture and direction. A gesture from God, a Limitless Divine power, no boundaries, non- linear knowledge, a Blessing designed by God to be utilized in a “linear” world for His Divine pleasure. Can you imagine, a boundless limitless power given into a world that is limited and handicap. What could happen? In obedience, what human being could answer that question? Nobody, that’s what makes it so special, we don’t know what God is going to do with it, the only way to find out what a limitless power can do in a limited world is in obedience. God’s mind put into the hands of a human being, powerful enough to exact God’s destiny, yours, immeasurable, unbelievable, uncanny, unreal, unusual, unstoppable, unbeatable guided purely in the direction of the Holy Spirit, a blessing such as this is a nuclear source of knowledge, wisdom and authority.

Galatians 1:11-24 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

Ah, there it is, the example of what Paul received from the Lord without anything from this Earth. From the mind of God into the mind of man. The blessing is God’s decision to share His mind, His power, His knowledge, His wisdom, a Divine Decision to give something that does not exist in the mind of men, without the mind of God, examples found in the writings of Paul, to be used correctly and identified correctly.

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and [a]idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge—

Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the [a]worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

A spiritual, unusual, incomprehensible connection to the Almighty is absolutely, positively possible, credible and powerful, a blessing designed by God. His decision to give. His thought of you, personally and a key to amazing given, …to you.

ISAIAH 47:9 For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me.

Exodus 31:1-6 & Exodus 35:31: God fills individuals like Bezalel with the Spirit of God, wisdom, and skill for specific crafts, showing creativity is a God-given ability for His work.

Bezalel was a master artisan in the Bible, chosen by God to lead the construction of the Tabernacle and its sacred furnishings, including the Ark of the Covenant. He was filled with the Spirit of God, granting him wisdom, understanding, and extraordinary skill in crafts like gold, silver, bronze work, stonework, wood carving, weaving, and engraving, working alongside Oholiab and other skilled workers of the time. The story highlights God empowering individuals with specific talents for His divine purposes, emphasizing meticulous obedience.

So what is the blessing of Creativity? The vision of God! Creativity is the mastermind of “how to utilize” all the blessings of God, including life itself, how it all fits and works together, what they are all meant to be in the grasp of the Holy Spirit, to bring glory and honor to God through you. This is not what “you” will become, it is much bigger than just you, through you this Blessing of what “is” to become, et all. Hard for me to comprehend that. Daniel knew and he wrote about it.

Daniel 2:20-23 and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors; You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.”

The mind of God and the purpose of an Almighty Savior handed to you, for you, to use, revealing the impossible is possible with Jesus and only Jesus and for that we give all the Glory.

Amen, hallelujah, glory be.

Chapter 33 The Blessing of Creativity 2026.
Be ever so careful with it, guard it with your life, the Word and your prayers.., ask the big question, “with this, how do I proceed my Lord Jesus Christ, in the Almighty service to the King..”
Amen.

"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
