CHAPTER 22: ‘PRAYER-Werks’ 2025
I envision a machine, huge, immense, complex – that opens a door into the throne room of God. The very place where God administrates the universe. Imagine such a place. Can you envision the path along the endless mechanism of Heaven and within it God’s office, the inner workings of the universal machine of Heaven, Earth and the Universe. A door, massive in size between the visitor and the King. I imagine keys to that door, I have four of them, you do too. Perhaps there are more, I don’t know? When these keys are deployed, the door opens, massive in size, gears, steam, steel, polished and damp with the majesty of Heaven. Why have I come here? A dawning, an awakening, a whole and complete realization that I might cautiously ask God if I may help Him in His Will. Not about me, not about anything I want, rather anything that He wants. May I serve the King’s Duties in any way He sees fit. God is Divine, I am not, I go to the King, my creator, “with what You have made how may I serve, thee?” How did I get here? Through Chapter 19, 20, 21 and then somewhere between 21 and 22, like Rip Van Winkle, I wake up and realize, I realize, …God. He is more than I thought. Is it possible for me to talk to Him about Him, not about me? Could I offer me to serve in His Will for whatever He sees as useful to the Kingdom? Well, quite a huge awakening, now about the door, about the keys jangling on my belt. How could I access and unlock the door to the Main Office of God, i.e., the ThroneRoom of the Almighty?
- Key #1, Be grateful for what I have and what I have not, thank Him for all of it, the good, bad and the ugly.
- Key #2 Ask for what I may do to honor His will this very day and pray for others.
- Key #3 Asking for Discernment and protection from the Evil One, requesting strength to Obey His daily directives.
- Repent for my sins that are too numerous to comprehend, and give thanks for the Blood of Christ that forgives me and allows me, an unworthy sinner, the undeniable gift of justification, sanctification and ultimately glorification.
Once inside the room, do I dare waste His time with paltry worldly requests? No, say it isn’t so, never should I be such a mess in front of my King. Rather I say;
“What, my Father, I offer myself, may I do, for the Will of God, in service to the Almighty Hand of Creation.
There, I have shared Chapter 22, PrayerWerks, I word that is designated to God and spelled, PrayerWerks, w-e-r-k-s. A machine, envisioned by a traveler on the Holy road of prayer, approaching Jesus Christ, step by step, towards the throne room, it’s awesome door guarded by angels and opened only by the keys of Righteousness, held by an unworthy sinner, yearning for purpose.
(2 Samuel 22:32-34 NIV) For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? {33} It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. {34} He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.
To this place I have come to ask for a place in His work for today, none others, not mine, surely, just Him. That is an awakening, a dawning, a sublime awareness and it hit me in between chapter 21 and chapter 22. Slightly after working 21 for quite awhile. And slightly before 22 ever written. Let me explain. It is a path from Chapter 19, 20, 21 and now the slam of Chapter 22. Let’s re-visit the path.
Chapters 19, a constant and consistent working on the prayers for what I have and how to use it, realize asking for more, when I don’t know how to handle what I have, is unwise and foolish. I am asking in 19 for God to help me work on that, it is truly, as it should be, about me, working on me, with God.
Chapter 20, Convergence, that is about me as well. I’m working on myself and coming against evil in every facet of my life. My church, family, business and politics. My Lord how do I represent you as the world converges evil upon me and my surroundings. Again, asking God, to help me, it is about me, as it should be to teach me.
Then Chapter 21, Prayer, that is simply checking in for me. Talking and reporting to the Father how I’m doing in 19 and 20. I’m doing better or challenged by, or need help regarding, it is totally, in 21 about the report of my new understandings from 19 and 20.
Now, we get to the chapter of PrayerWerks. God’s Will? I don’t mean His Will in my life, I mean just His Will. With all that he does for me, how could I ask Him such a question? It’s so important. It’s more important than a prayer in my bedroom or in the garage, more important than a casual prayer on a walk. Prepare myself, and decide my little ridiculous life is important to God, why not ask Him, what I may do for Him, completely, nothing to do with anything of me, just offer my service completely. Huge, concept. Best be ready prepared for the answer, I would say, and willing.
Consider keys of a righteous heart, that would access that machine and into the presence of God. I continue to work Chapter 19, what to do with what I have, 20 what to do with evil that exists in convergence of all areas of my life, 21 I report in on my success and challenge with 19 and 20 and then, when I’m ready, I go again, and I shudder as I walk directly along the mighty road to King, the Will of God, the God of the universe. Along the way I humbly ask the Holy Spirit to go before me, as I do not want to be alone on my journey. I hear the tingling of the keys I carry, I have only four.
- Key #1, Be grateful for what I have. Give thanks.
- Key #2 Ask for what I may do to in my talents and my prayers.
- Key #3 Thankful for Discernment, protection, obedience and Divine directives.
- Repentance for my sins, thankful and reverent for the Blood of Christ that forgives me.
What are a some examples of God’s hand from the Throne Room of Heaven, when men have asked humbly to serve? Let’s glance at our fore fathers who, by the hand of God, created America, life, liberty and justice.
- “Our Constitution is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.” Patrick Henry. Thank you, Jesus for allowing the last 248 years of freedom from Tyranny.
- “The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them.” Patrick Henry Thank you, Jesus for such a statement reminding us Government is accountable. Key #3 Learning the gifts.
- “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petitions the government for a redress of grievances. The Bill of Rights, the first of amendment.” Thank you, Jesus for 286 years of government not able to control church.
- “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” In Congress, July 4, 1776. Thank you Jesus for America, may we serve our church and may our church serve our country, all given by God for 286 years.
- “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” John Adams Jesus, may God give your church the strength to return this great nation to the God that created her.
- John 1: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.”
These words, none of them, could exist without God’s Will, I couldn’t write them, you couldn’t write them, the forefathers couldn’t write them, yet here they are. Accessing the Will of God is the goal, it took me four chapters to the Keys, the path to PrayerWerks.
Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
I can be fooled, deceived. I get that. I mean the devil could fool me, my prayers could be compromised, my very conscience could be stolen, so to speak, manipulated, fooled, deceived by the enemy and I would think it was God’s direction. What do I do? Psalm 91:1-2, which says, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”. Thusly, I prayed to the Holy Spirit to direct me to correct scripture and watch over my prayers, both to the Lord and from the Lord and He does.
Psalms 121:7-8 The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever.
1 John 5:14-15 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
A quote by C.S. Lewis “I willingly believe that the damned are, in one sense, successful, rebels to the end; that the doors of hell are locked on the inside.” I say, if there was more prayer and understanding taught from the pulpit, there would be less souls in hell.
The path of Prayer in 19-20-21-22, use them always, anytime, all the time, and then when ready, approach the Throne Room with fear and confidence, place the keys firmly in the door.
- Be grateful for what I have, the good, bad and the ugly. Use it correctly.
- Ask for what I may do today with the talents given and who shall I pray for?
- Asking for the strength to Obey, discern and prevail over evil.
- Repent for my sins and honor the Blood of Christ that forgives me.
Thomas Jefferson said, “When once a Republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles, every other correction is either useless or a new evil.
Colossians 2:8 See to it that there is no one who takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception in accordance with human tradition, in accordance with the elementary principles of the world, [a]rather than in accordance with Christ.
Fake stuff, temporary fixes, self-help books, imitation teachings, a wasting of dangerous moments without the direction of God. These things interrupt my walk to the Throne Room, I don’t want that.
Psalm 139:1-19 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you. If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
If you could, try, please, walk this path, 19-20-21, and if you wake up, like Rip Van Winkle, walk on to 22, but be ready for what the King may say.
The Four Master Keys: “Click”, did you hear it? Prayer-Werks, the lock opens and the door to the machine, the mechanism sees you clearly and it is now your time with Him, God has been waiting for you.
Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Chapter 22 PrayerWerks 2025, borrow the concept until you have your own. Amen, Amen.
